“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Confucius
At first it was a shock to me when I learned that there will be like an OJT type of thing in our curriculum that is called work immersion and I was a bit nervous when we talked about it with my classmates. When the day comes that we will be deployed me and one of my classmate were put in the OJT office near the clinic.

In the first day it was a rocky start because Mrs. Tolentino informed us that in the OJT office was busy and bustling at the months December and March. The rest of the months will be like a normal day that is little to nothing to do. Yet our supervisor think of a way to have us do a thing in our first day. We were tasked to shred all the compiled papers and documents that weren’t needed anymore from the year 2016 to 2018. After some time doing it I realized it’s quite hard and painful to hand because we continuously shredding papers using our hands. Later that day, Mrs. Tolentino mentioned to us that she was a college professor and stated her schedule to us. Whenever our supervisor was away we were the ones that answers calls of companies that is inquiring and students who needs something or asking.

Whenever we’re not tasked to do something or our supervisor in not around me and my workmates we’re talking about different things our topics we’re wide range from academics to our personal lives then because of that it help us to be more comfortable with each other every day that passed we were getting closer to each other. Suddenly we realized that the next day will be a regular class. I and my workmates were being unwilling to end our Work Immersion because it was too short and we became attached to the OJT office that we say to each other “kahit wag na mag klase, mag immersion nalang”. Because we shared so many things and it gave me a motivation that I not alone was not experiencing this hardships and it pushes me hard to give my best until the very end.

The experience and memories that I gain in work immersion will be treasured because it helped me grow as a person and it reminded me that things will be get rough sometimes but you need to always move forward head strong. In the Work Immersion it gave me a first person view on how a work environment goes on daily and it hardens me to the things that I needed to be expected when I will be working someday. And I catch the essence of the work immersion that it is there to teach and have the students enjoy interacting with others and making them understand the stuff they like in the future.
